House Rules & Etiquette (read before booking)
- Confirmation Required: Please wait until I’ve replied to your booking before considering it confirmed. (Because of production work schedules, sessions may occasionally need to be rescheduled or postponed. 🙏🏼)
- Shared Recordings: A mix of the session will be shared with everyone who played. However, it cannot be shared publicly without the explicit consent of all performers involved in that session.
- Quiet Entry: Enter as quietly as possible in case a take is currently in progress. If your reservation has been confirmed, there is no need to knock or ring the doorbell—just slip inside.
- Respect the Gear: You are welcome to use any house instruments or bring your own. Please treat all equipment with care, and please ask before adjusting to alternate tunings on the house guitars.
- Collaboration > Ego: This is a space for the collaboration of egos, not competition between them. Express yourself honestly, but always respectfully.
- Talk is Good Too: If those present prefer to spend the time just talking and listening to music for inspiration, that can be great too. We can still record the session for posterity.
- Prioritize Originals: Covers are fine for a warmup, but let’s focus our energy on generating and fleshing out original ideas or just having fun with exploring sounds together.
- Mind the Volume: We are in a residential building, so we won’t go full blast on the volume, but we’ll also track everything in 32-bit float, meaning structural dynamics and volume levels can be significantly adjusted post-recording.
